Amazon scores exclusive to stream CBS’s new ‘Extant’ series
Amazon, continuing to make exclusive content deals with CBS, today announced it will stream CBS’s new Sci-fi series "Extant" four days after it's broadcast on television. The deal is a follow up to the success the two companies enjoyed with the CBS summer hit “Under the Dome.” 
The deal will allow Amazon to deliver episodes to subscribers of its Instant Video program on all compatible devices; the episodes also will be available for purchase and download exclusively on Amazon Instant Video.
The series stars Halle Berry as an astronaut who comes home after spending a year alone in space and tries to reconnect with her husband and son. It’s slated to start airing in June.

Making profitability out of the long tail....or cheapening the brand? Whats your thoughts?

Of course without knowing the dollars and cents involved in the deal we'll never really be able to say for sure but curious what your thoughts are about how this will work in the long run? (and do any of the affiliates get to see any of the money....?)
