I knew Minitel was pervasive but had no idea
that they were pulling in over $1b a year in online app revenue per year in the
nineties.

YouTube video payments
Reading this article now - http://qz.com/67991/you-didnt-make-the-harlem-shake-go-viral-corporations-did/
So can someone explain to me, if the copyright
holder gets 50% of the $6cpm and the video uploader also gets $3cpm…..then is
YouTube actually making any money from a cost for content of $6cpm +server hardware+internet
bandwidth +engineering salaries OR are these payment actually CPA and not CPM?
Are companies really paying >$6CPM for those
tiny banner ads on YouTube and when was the last time you clicked on one OR didn’t
fast forward through an interstitial?
Thoughts?

QR codes allow Woolworths customers to meet their growers
Cool use of QR codes
The barcode lets shoppers learn more about the local farmers who supply the stores where they shop.
Woolworths has now announced that it is rolling out QR codes, as of the start of this month, that will allow customers to be able to access details regarding the local growers who supply the stores with the fruit and vegetables that they buy.
The program is called Meet the Grower and includes a number of different kinds of media for information.

virtual object building
I’ve often wondered why a Second Life in the real world never took off eg along the lines of this - http://blog.collins.net.pr/2012/11/minecraft-reality-not-augmented-reality.html
If you are looking for older examples of what
should form the framework of something like this check out the Mogi Mogi game
play (that as far as I can tell has never been replicated) http://blog.collins.net.pr/search?q=mogi+mogi

Certification....the future of learning rather than ebooks?
Not
bad curriculum for $24
Is this the future of learning instead of ebooks? Will we purchase a "course" instead of Sams 21 days book in order to pick up a skills etc and this is seen as the norm for picking up any new knowledge.
